If concerned about metal allergies, we can provide sample links for testing purposes, but we need to know which product line you are interested in.
Light-weight aluminum -
Our aluminum alloy is perfect for fashions and jewelry. It is comfortably light-weight, yet is almost as strong as steel. It's shiny surface barely dulls
with age. Some fashions, like our densely-woven bikini tops, are only made out of this metal because of these properties.
Galvanized steel -
These links are spun from the finest galvanized steel wire we have yet to encounter. It's shiny finish can darken with age which
quality which adds to the look of some designs. Unlike some less expensive brands, it's plating neither flakes nor corrodes. We've
never heard of it leaving marks on the skin. There is absolutely NO danger involved in wearing this metal against your skin. Rumors
to this effect stem from the fact that breathing the fumes from burning galvanized steel is dangerous so just don't light it on fire.
Tinned/Tin-plated steel -
We recently discovered this wire. Tin-plating is sometimes referred to as an imitation rhodium finish by jewelry manufacturers. It is
interchangeable with our galvanized steel. This metal option is an alternative for those few who have an allergic reaction to a galvanized finish.
Golden brass -
We spent a long time searching for a high-quality gold-toned wire. The high brass alloy that we found is strong with a shiny golden color.
It darkens slightly with age to a beautiful antique finish. If this is undesirable, a quick cleaning with jewelers' rouge will restore
it's original luster. Human skin types differ greatly from person to person, but it is exceedingly rare to find anyone whose skin has any
problem wearing this fine alloy. Our brass items are made with gold-tone findings.
The above are ¼" ID (and 5/16" ID) butted links which we shear cut ourselves. Each has beautifully
flush (flat) edges and is closed properly so that it won't grab hair or scratch. Many claim that saw cut is better,
but that is simply not true. Our rings close perfectly, without the gap often left by a saw blade.
Nickel-plated steel -
Our larger nickel-plated links are very shiny and do not dull at all.
Gunmetal finish -
The gunmetal finish gives our larger steel links a sinister dark shine.
Gilt finish -
Gilt finished rings are a shiny golden color which does not tarnish with age.
Colored Chains and Rings
These are aluminum components which have been colored through an anodizing process. This color
does not flake and will remain vibrant through much wear. Most of the smaller colored chains are
diamond cut, creating mirror-like areas which catch the light and further accentuate the beautiful colors.
